Using a wide variety of materials, techniques and approaches, incorporating text-based work, object making, performance, video and painting, Alexander’s work aims to interrupt, interact or interpret activities concerning people and place, and in doing so question and challenge perceived norms that allude to the absurd, melancholic, humorous and idiotic, both in a celebratory and subversive fashion. Work does not follow a particular set style and outcomes are diverse, reflecting his interest in a multi-disciplinary approach to making.
