Let the weakest go to the wall
This installation uses the long stonewall seat flowing along the south side of the church on which the elderly and infirm would sit during Mass.
We have collected objects abandoned along a river bank, interleaved them with our own work made from clay, paint and wood. From river to marsh, the human trail and the travails of fishing and farming.
Soft grey skies, golden fields, the constant bleat of lambs drawn anew in the slanting light of Ivychurch. A meandering and silent impression embraced by the stone and wood of the chapel.
