
Katherine resides in Hastings – a town rich in extreme contrasts and eccentricities and the inspiration for much of her work. She would describe herself as a student of the curious and absurd, drawing on traditional arts and crafts skills and surrealist observations.
Her flower paintings, like the flowers carefully arranged in the church, provide pleasant decoration: but look deeper – beneath the thorns and buds lurk the spirits of our earthy pagan past.
