As you travel eastward, Burmarsh church houses the earliest examples of medieval bells which date back to 1375. You arrive to the south porch via a small footbridge. The entrance way has an incredible medieval gargoyle and chevron design which surrounds the magnificent Norman doorway.

Visiting the tiny hamlet of Burmarsh conveniently leads you conveniently back onto the A259 which is the main route between Folkestone and Rye.
