This church dates from the 12th century and yet holds a distinct connection to the modern with its’ pink interior and as the site of Derek Jarman’s grave. The churchyard has become a pilgrimage for many. The church interior boasts box pews and a fabulous Georgian minstrels’ gallery. The route to Old Romney (a village now divided by the A259) is a great way to begin to step back in time and venture across the reclaimed marshland.
